Awesome Northern California Engagement Photo Locations
No way! You just got engaged? CONGRATULATIONS!
Considering doing an engagement session but don’t know which location best fits you two? Welp, you’ve come to the right place. Below are some of our favorite NorCal spots for engagement photos; offering a variety of incredible backdrops to capture this special time between engagement and wedding.
We truly believe engagement sessions are so important that we include them in every singe one of our wedding packages. Most couples don’t have professional photos together before their wedding day, this gives an opportunity to showcase your love during your relatively short time being engaged. Engagement photos are perfect for Save the Dates, enhancing your wedding website, and prints for your walls at home.
An engagement session is a unique opportunity to work with your wedding photography team prior to your big day. It allows us to establish a relationship and for you to get acquainted and comfortable with the J.O. Photography team before your wedding day. Most people don’t realize, but your photographer will be by your side through the most intimate moments of your wedding day. It’s so important that you’re comfortable with their presence and how they direct you behind the camera.
We’ve compiled some of our favorite NorCal locations that offer epic views, diverse landscapes, and have made for some memorable moments!

As one of the most visited State Recreation Areas in the Sacramento area, Folsom Lake offers vast lake views, large granite rock outcroppings and endless oak trees.
