Emma + Luke | The Maples Woodland | Woodland, CA

Luke and Emma’s wedding is what Pinterest boards are made of; light, airy, romantic, and fun-loving! Staged at The Maples in woodland, a modern ranch-style country estate featuring beautiful outdoor spaces and novel hundred-year-old trees. We were so thrilled that our first wedding at this gorgeous venue got to be with this amazing and stunning couple.

Our beautiful bride along with her bridesmaids, Mom and Grandmother got ready with drinks in hand, and music playing in a modern country bridal suite. The bright fall sunlight filled the room and helped us capture the light and airy look this duo was going for, accompanied perfectly by the charming modern country feels. Our handsome groom enjoyed the “man cave” with the groomsmen. Play pool and drinking with his buddies, what else could a groom ask for while getting ready for his wedding.

Once our bride was ready and revealed herself to her bridesmaids (scroll to see the amazing reactions) she stepped outside under a large oak tree to reveal her wedding day look to her first love, her Dad. The two shared an intimate moment and a warm embrace. Now was time for our bride and groom to sneak a first look with each other. We always love capturing first looks, they are such a raw and intimate time on a wedding day. Luke reaction was so sweet and genuine, you can truly see how much these two love each other… and how excited they were to be marrying each other.

Once the big revealed happened, we let our bride and groom take a few minutes to enjoy each other before the day really got underway. We snapped a few bridal party portraits, with one of the most fun wedding party we’ve ever had! These guys were up for anything, and all about having a good time supporting their best friends.

It was finally ceremony time, a simple and elegant setup under an expansive oak tree was beautiful all on its own. A large wooden cross, elegantly draped with the wedding colors, sat at the foot of the aisle, a very important and powerful symbol to both our bride and groom. A very close family friend and Pastor gave a very sweet and romantic ceremony highlighting how these college sweethearts met, fell in love, got engaged on a beach with a Christmas tree (ornaments and all) and were now ready to be husband and wife and start their lives together. After the “I do’s” and anticipated kiss, it was party time! We captured a few family formals (again with a super fun bunch, the photos say it all) and snuck our bride and groom off for some epic sunset portraits (be sure to scroll down to see some of these shots).

Our wedding party made their grand entrance to the reception, the perfect outdoor setting with lanterns on each table and outdoor string light sprawled over the lawn. Once the music started bumping, the guests started dancing! There was a lot of dancing, laughing, and enjoying the night by all that attended. Our bride and groom eventually made their grand exit with a glow-stick send off where their car (completely decorated) awaited to take the new Mr. and Mrs. off to their honeymoon!

We hope you enjoy, and be sure to follow us on our Instagram and Pinterest for updates and the latest with JOP!
